Nowhere does winter quite like Vermont. With 20 alpine ski resorts, 30 cross-country touring centres and 7,300 acres of alpine terrain, this is a skier’s paradise. Find a Vermont State Park to explore on snowshoes or cross-country skis. If speed is more your thing, try snowmobiling - there's no better way to see Vermont's snowy forests, mountains and scenery.

Begin your two nation adventure in Montreal, a world class city with a striking union of European charm and North American attitude. Montreal offers things for all ages and interests from fascinating history, local culture and stunning architecture to street markets, parks and festivals galore.

Winter in Montréal defies all cold weather expectations – enjoy outdoor parties, winter festivals, high-tech light shows, Christmas markets and creative gourmet food. Ice skate to music next to the St. Lawrence River or on the tree-lined pond in Parc La Fontaine. At Mount Royal Park at Beaver Lake, where you can also go cross-country skiing or take snowshoeing tour along the park's trails. And for something truly Canadian, see how the pros skate at a Montréal Canadiens game.
