Your journey of exploration and adventure will take place at Dymond Lake Lodge, approximately 30 kilometres by air from Churchill. You will have the opportunity to see polar bears on your Great Ice Bear adventure at this eco-lodge and on your Churchill town buggy adventure.

Day 1 - Winnipeg
Arrive in Winnipeg for your first night. There will be an orientation meeting in the evening.

Day 2 - Churchill
Fly to Churchill where you will transfer to a small aircraft for your flight to Dymond Lake Lodge. This exciting journey takes you out over the historic Churchill River, and up the Hudson Bay. Keep an eye out below for caribou, moose, seals, wolves and, of course, the “Great Ice Bears”. Later in the day there will be a guided hike along the rugged and starkly beautiful coastline, an interpretive slide show featuring the wildlife of Hudson Bay, and hopefully a clear night for viewing the Aurora Borealis. Dymond Lake Lodge has an Aurora viewing tower for northern lights observation.

Days 3-4 - Dymond Lake Lodge
Breakfast will be followed by morning and afternoon walks. The walks are comfortably paced as they are geared towards plenty of viewing and photo opportunities. They are guided by professional and knowledgeable tour leaders. Polar bears are also known to saunter by the Lodge so you can often view them from the warmth and comfort of one of the lounges through the picture windows. Lunches and dinners are served at the lodge. After dinner, your guide team will give informative lectures and beautiful slide presentations.

Day 5 - Churchill
After breakfast fly back to Churchill where you will have free time to explore this frontier community at your leisure. Overnight in Churchill.

Day 6 - Winnipeg
Today you will travel across the tundra in a “tundra vehicle” for more polar bear viewing. Lunch “with the bears” will be prepared and served to you on the tour. You will return at 5pm in time for your flight back to Winnipeg for your final night.

Day 7 - Depart
Return to the UK or extend your trip.
