Travel through some of Ontario’s most beautiful areas with a circular fly drive from Toronto including Niagara Falls, Manitoulin Island, Killarney Provincial Park, Muskoka, Algonquin Provincial Park, Ottawa and Kingston. Along the way you will sample all that Ontario has to offer including city tours, Aboriginal heritage, hiking, canoeing and cruises.

Day 1 – Toronto
Begin by rocketing up the CN Tower for a bird’s-eye view of the city’s skyline before embarking on a double-decker bus tour of the city’s most impressive sights and attractions. Explore the Royal Ontario Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario and dine in one of the city’s numerous chic restaurants. Shop at the Toronto Eaton Centre, along trendy Queen Street West or in diverse ethnic neighbourhoods. If shopping is not your thing then take a boat cruise on the lake and tour around the Toronto Islands.

Day 3 – Toronto to Niagara Falls, approx. 85 miles
Visit Niagara Falls for one night and see them from various vantage points, including a Journey Behind the Falls, Hornblower boat Voyage to the Falls or a helicopter tour. Browse Niagara-on-the-Lake’s unique shops, or explore some of Niagara’s 50 wineries.

Day 4 – Niagara Falls to Manitoulin Island, approx. 415 miles
Take a rural drive to the rugged Bruce Peninsula, where you can enjoy some of the best hiking Ontario has to offer. Late afternoon, board the Chi-Cheemaun ferry to the Aboriginal heritage rich island of Manitoulin, stay for one night.

Day 5 – Manitoulin Island to Killarney Provincial Park, approx. 165 miles
Follow the Great Spirit Circle Trail on Manitoulin Island, which encompasses eight First Nations communities. Let Aboriginal guides introduce you to the symbolism of hoop dancing or traditional crafts. Sample local cuisine and browse local craft stores before driving to Killarney Provincial Park for two nights. Killarney is a great choice for canoeing and hiking. You will be awed by the brilliant white quartz cliffs of the La Cloche Mountains.

Day 7 – Killarney Provincial Park to Muskoka Region, approx. 145 miles
Head south to the picturesque Muskoka region and explore the quaint towns of Huntsville, Bracebridge, Bala and Gravenhurst. Explore the world-renowned Algonquin Provincial Park via waterways and pathways. There are canoe routes and hiking trails for all fitness levels. The autumnal colours are beautiful here. 
Stay two nights. 

Day 9 – Muskoka Region to Ottawa, approx. 240 miles
Drive to Ottawa, Canada’s capital city and stay two nights. Take in a free tour of Parliament Hill, the seat of Canadian democracy. Then hop across the Ottawa River for an in-depth look at culture and heritage at the Canadian Museum of Civilization. The By Ward Market has eclectic dining choices and is a great place to head for dinner.

Day 11 – Ottawa to Kingston, approx. 120 miles
Stroll the shoreline of the Rideau Canal as it meanders through the city before driving south for a 1000 Islands cruise on the St. Lawrence River. The region takes its name from the 1000+ islands that dot the lake and river along this international waterway. From cruises to kayaking and canoeing, 1000 Islands is the perfect location for water based activities. Follow the river to the ‘Limestone City’ of Kingston and stay one night in one of their famed bed and breakfasts or country inns.

Day 12 – Kingston to Rice Lake, approx. 110 miles
Begin with a Confederation Tour Trolley to orientate yourself with the history and attractions of Kingston, shop downtown and listen to cannon fire and watch 19th century military demonstrations at Fort Henry. Drive to Elmhirst’s Resort on Rice Lake for three nights to relax.

Day 15 – Rice Lake to Toronto, approx. 95 miles
Return to Toronto for your flight back to the UK.
