Pacific Bear - Limited to 16 Passengers
Christened the Lasqueti Star, in honour of the shipyards of British Columbia where she was built in 1974, the 'Little Blue Boat' was originally a fishing vessel working the rugged BC coast.  Totally rebuilt and refurbished this former 'Seiner' is now a comfortable seaworthy passenger cruiser, plying the calm waterways she knows so well.  In her present lift, the 'Pacific Bear', with an onboard naturalist, cruises into Desolation Sound, the Gulf Islands and the Salish Sea, famous for their wildlife.

The Captain welcomes visitors to his spacious pilot-house where he demonstrates the traditional navigation technique used by Captain George Vancouver, whose historical route is traced by the boat. Dine collectively on board while viewing the forested shoreline through large windows or from the covered upper deck. Every evening, this marine excursion disembarks at renowned coastal ecolodges for your overnight stays.
On this cruise, it is likely to see marine life including humpback whales and orcas and even grizzly bears feeding on shore. Every evening, the cruise excursion disembarks at renowned coastal ecolodges including Homfray Lodge and Tsa-Kwa Luten Lodge on Quadra Island.
